  • Geir has worked in Flow Assurance for over 37 years. His background includes engineering, planning, and development of oil and gas fields in the Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, Barents Sea, Grand Banks, Malaysia, and West Africa. He is a specialist in multiphase flow. His experience includes significant work in research, software development, and application of transient multiphase flow simulation software. He has served as project manager and systems engineer, analyzing risk and assessing constraints in large oil and gas field studies and developments.

  • Zach has worked as a flow assurance consultant, simulation engineer, software development manager, and industry consultant in the offshore oil and gas industry since 2011. His background includes construction of large integrated facility simulators, including dynamic and steady-state multiphase flow simulators, dynamic topsides processing facility simulation, and industrial control system emulation.

He has worked on major developments in the Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, and offshore South America, delivering flow assurance and engineering studies, operator training and engineering simulators, and digital twin applications. In addition, he holds various certifications in software engineering, industrial control systems, IT, and software product management.

  • Mack has extensive experience in well and network simulation studies, specializing in flow assurance, production optimization and digital twin applications.  With over 23 years at SLB, he led the development of PIPESIM for more than a decade and later managed the Delfi Production Operations platform.  He also led many consultancy projects for operators around the globe ranging from integrated reservoir-network planning studies to real-time optimization using digital-twins.

In addition, he served as SPE Distinguished Lecturer in 2016-2017 with his talk on “The Science and Economics of Multiphase Flow”.   He also edited the SPE Textbook “Applied Multiphase Flow in Pipes and Flow Assurance” (2017) and chaired the SPE Reprint on “Offshore Multiphase Production Operations” (2004).  He served on the Tulsa University Fluid Flow Projects Advisory Board for over 20 years and continues to closely collaborate on innovative research as a TU Visiting Scholar.  He holds BS and MS degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, where his research focused on multiphase flow modelling.
